I’ve been holding on to these photos of Grant boardsliding this kinker hubba for over a year now. Funny story about this trick was that he had tried it the week before but we got the boot just as he was getting close. But when he first started trying it that day, a few of the Vans dudes rolled up on the session. One of them being none other than AVE, and word on the street was that AVE had been obsessing over trying the same trick for weeks. It was all he wanted to do and talk about. With AVE watching, Grant gave a few goes and took a few good slams. They left, and I’m sure AVE left with the impression that Grant couldn’t do it after seeing him try it. Little did AVE know Grant went back the next weekend not only pulling it but riding away through the dirt, into the street causing the crew to go wild. We’ll have to wait for the Vans video to come out to see if AVE did it as well..
